Troop 109 - 2016 - 2017

The Patrol Leader's Council has planned an awesome year for the Scouts in Troop 109!  There will be lots of camping in new places, including Lake Jocassee (Devils Fork State Park), Stone Mountain in North Carolina, The Lost Sea Cave in Tennessee, and that is just in the fall of 2016.  We will host the Webelos Adventure University at Worthy Boys Camp, take part in Scouting for Food, go the Polar Bear Campout, the Battle of Aiken Civil War Reenactment, put on Camping 101 for our new Scouts, go to the District Spring Camporee, and then go kayaking and tubing on the Green River! Plus a lot more....

We meet on Monday nights at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Woodland United Methodist Church at 801 N. Cherry Road in Rock Hill.  If you are looking for a Troop, come visit a meeting and check us out!

Eagle Scout Information

Troop 109 Eagle Scout Candidates -

This page contains information that you need in order to develop and carry out your Eagle Scout Project, and then to prepare for the Eagle Scout Board of Reviews.

First, download the Eagle Scout Leadership Project Workbook, which can be found through the link below:

Eagle Scout Leadership Project Workbook

Next, read the entire workbook and make sure you understand and follow all of the instructions and guidance.  Then, develop ideas for your project following the guidelines in the workbook.  Talk to Mr. Summers or one of the other Scoutmasters about your project to make sure that it meets the requirements.  Put together the Project Proposal with pictures and complete information, and schedule a time with Mr. Summers to review your draft.  Make sure that the beneficiary is OK with and approves of your project (a person in authority at the organization that will benefit from your project).

After Mr. Summers has reviewed your draft, you will then put together the final version of the Project Proposal and bring it back for Mr. Summers to sign.  The beneficiary will need to sign it also.  Then you will need to go before the Troop Committee for their review and approval.

After Troop Committee approval and signature by the Troop Committee Chairman, you are ready to schedule a time to meet with the District Eagle Board Chairman for review of your Project Proposal.  His contact information is list below.  Eagle Project Proposal reviews happen 2 times a month, on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings of the month.  You will need to get a slot on one of these evenings, and then be there earlier with your Eagle Project Notebook, in full uniform, with your parent.
